Course Overview

Mode of Delivery
Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.
Course Content
Training should emphasize on the following contents;
- Introduction to Process Safety: Overview of process safety and its importance in the global industrial environment.
- Process Safety Fundamentals: Study of the basic concepts and principles of process safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety management systems.
- Process Safety Standards and Regulations: Examination of the major international process safety standards and regulations, such as OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM) standard, the European Union's Seveso Directive, and the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO) process safety management standard.
- Process Safety Management Systems: Study of the design, implementation, and maintenance of process safety management systems, including incident investigation, management of change, and emergency response planning.
- Chemical Process Safety: Overview of the specific hazards and risks associated with chemical processes, including toxicology, explosion and fire protection, and release mitigation.
- Risk Management: Study of the principles and methods of risk management, including quantitative risk assessment and risk-based decision making.
- Process Safety Auditing: Examination of the process safety audit process, including preparation, conducting, and reporting on process safety audits.
- Human Factors in Process Safety: Study of the role of human factors in process safety, including human error, communication, and training.
- Advanced Topics in Process Safety: Discussion of advanced topics in process safety, such as process safety culture, process safety leadership, and process safety performance metrics.
Entry Requirements
Program Duration
This Diploma is designed to help you reach your goals at your own pace and on your schedule. Instructional contact time must be a minimum of 8 hours. Most students intend to complete their studies via online learning within 1 month.
Examination
All students must achieve a minimum 70% score to successfully pass the examination which shall be taken online through AISP assigned portal. After successful completion of the examination, students will get their results immediately on their registered emails. This is an open-book exam and students are permitted to use a separate browser window to review course content while taking the exam. If you do not pass the examination you may retake the examination. Students are allowed to take an exam three times within one month. During this time, students should review the course material to improve their understanding.

This training program is intended to provide entry-level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a work site. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.
