This course also covers the control of hazardous and unsafe machinery, tools, and materials, including tagging, locking, or removing from operation, and the importance of qualified employees operating powered equipment. Participants learn the wide applicability of OSHA Regulations to all workplaces in the 50 states, territories and offshore areas of the U.S., and how specific standards take precedence over general standards. Focus on what employers must do for each employee. This includes giving out personal protective equipment (PPE), training employees on hazard identification, training on hazard prevention, and treating each failure as a standalone violation. This course teaches learners how to prepare and develop effective safety and health programs, how to enforce the use of PPE, how to train employees, and how to sustain compliance to all regulations. This results in a safer workplace, minimized occurrence of injuries, and a positive working environment that encourages responsibility and constant improvement on all construction operations.

Program Duration
The program is designed to offer flexible online learning with a minimum instructional contact time of 8 hours. Most learners successfully complete the course within one month, allowing them to progress at their own pace while balancing professional commitments.
Examination
Candidates can take this exam through an assigned portal from the American Institute of Safety Professionals. A passing score is 70% or higher, and exam results are provided right after by email to the address provided. The exam is open-book, allowing candidates to validate their answers. Any candidates who do not pass have 1 month after their exam to go through the training materials and can take the exam 3 additional times.
