Mode of Delivery
Participants will receive online training through Microsoft Teams and LMS. Courses are offered by accredited broadcasters and backed by expert instruction and official study materials. All assessments are conducted online and successful participants are awarded certificates that are accepted internationally.

Training should emphasize on the following contents;

  • Introduction to Food Safety: Overview of food safety and its importance in ensuring the safety and quality of food products.
  • Food Safety Fundamentals: Study of the basic concepts and principles of food safety, including food microbiology, food chemistry, and food hazards.
  • Standards and Regulations: Examination of the major international food safety standards and regulations, such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, the Codex Alimentarius, and the European Union's food safety regulations.
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points): Study of the principles and implementation of HACCP, a food safety management system that focuses on identifying, evaluating, and controlling food safety hazards.
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Hygienic Practices (GHPs): Study of the principles and implementation of GMPs and GHPs, which are guidelines for the safe handling, processing, and storage of food products.
  • Food Safety Management Systems: Study of the design, implementation, and maintenance of food safety management systems, including incident investigation, management of change, and emergency response planning.

Entry Requirements
This program follows global workplace health and safety standards, and is taught by industry experts. Successful students receive an American Institute of Safety Professionals accredited certificate which is recognized by several employers and regulatory bodies. Graduates receive a master certificate, course completion certificate (if applicable), an official transcript, a wallet card, and access to a professional safety network which promotes ongoing learning and career growth.
Program Duration
The program is designed to offer flexible online learning with a minimum instructional contact time of 8 hours. Most learners successfully complete the course within one month, allowing them to progress at their own pace while balancing professional commitments.
Examination
Candidates can take this exam through an assigned portal from the American Institute of Safety Professionals. A passing score is 70% or higher, and exam results are provided right after by email to the address provided. The exam is open-book, allowing candidates to validate their answers. Any candidates who do not pass have 1 month after their exam to go through the training materials and can take the exam 3 additional times.

This training program is intended to provide entry-level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a worker may encounter at a work site. Training should emphasize hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.
