Course Overview
The Basic First Aid and CPR training course from the American Institute of Safety Professionals has key lifesaving skills with respect to best practices and standards such as the American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and First Aid standards as well as OSHA guidelines for workplace safety (29 CFR 1910.151). The course ins instructs the recognition and initial management of the most common medical emergencies and how to respond until advanced medical help arrives. These include cardiac arrest, choking, bleeding, burns, fractures and sudden illnesses. Participants receive practical training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) for adults, children, and infants.
