Course Overview
The Certified Safety Supervisor CSSP course offered by the American Institute of Safety Professionals is to improve safety professionals’ leadership and advanced command of OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 General Industry Standards. The course teaches the safety and compliance principles and the safety and productivity industrial environment supervision responsibilities. The course helps the students understand the obligations and requirements of the employers concerning the safety of construction work standards as captured in §1910.12 (Construction Work Standards) and the special provisions for air contaminants §1910.19 including limits to highly toxic and hazardous asbestos and other dangerous substitutes such as vinyl chloride, acrylonitrile, inorganic arsenic, lead, formaldehyde, and other dangerous air contaminants. It emphasizes managing safety and control of hazardous process §1910.119 with the poisonous, explosive, and reactive materials and the toxic control measures.
The CSSP course uses real world and case study methods to build hazard assessment and OSHA compliance control capacity through standard interpretation as well as risk assessment and OSHA control measures automation application.
