The Offshore Oil and Gas Safety course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the hazards and best practices associated with offshore oil and gas operations. The course covers the key safety challenges and measures that must be taken to ensure worker safety and environmental protection in this challenging industry.

Understanding of offshore oil and gas safety principles: The program covers the principles and practices of offshore oil and gas safety, including the importance of protecting workers from hazards related to offshore oil and gas operations.
Knowledge of offshore oil and gas safety regulations and standards: The program covers the latest OSHA regulations and industry best practices in offshore oil and gas safety, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the field.
Ability to identify and assess offshore oil and gas hazards: Upon completion of the program, you will have the skills to identify potential offshore oil and gas hazards and assess their level of risk.
Understanding of offshore oil and gas hazard control measures and procedures: The program covers various control measures and procedures for reducing or eliminating offshore oil and gas hazards, including how to develop and implement effective offshore oil and gas safety programs.
Knowledge of offshore oil and gas safety training and education: The program covers the importance of training and educating employees on offshore oil and gas safety, including how to develop and deliver effective offshore oil and gas safety training programs.

Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.

Training should emphasize on the following contents;

Introduction: Overview of the offshore oil and gas industry, importance of safety in the industry.
Hazards in the Offshore Environment: Environmental hazards (weather, sea conditions, etc.), technical hazards (equipment failure, process hazards, etc.), human factors (fatigue, communication, etc.).
Emergency Response and Preparedness: Emergency response plans, firefighting and evacuation procedures, search and rescue techniques, medical response and first aid.
Risk Assessment and Management: Identification of hazards, evaluation of risks, implementation of control measures.
Safety Management Systems: Introduction to safety management systems, ISO 45001 Occupational health and safety standard, implementation and maintenance of a safety management system.
Regulations and Compliance: International and national regulations for offshore oil and gas operations, compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Case Studies and Best Practices: Analysis of real-world incidents and accidents in the offshore oil and gas industry, discussion of best practices for preventing and managing incidents

This course is designed to help you reach your goals at your own pace and on your schedule. Instructional contact time must be a minimum of 8 hours. Most students intend to complete their studies via online learning within 1 month.

All students must achieve a minimum 70% score to successfully pass the examination which shall be taken online through AISP assigned portal. After successful completion of the examination, students will get their results immediately on their registered emails. This is an open-book exam and students are permitted to use a separate browser window to review course content while taking the exam. If you do not pass the examination you may retake the examination. Students are allowed to take an exam three times within one month. During this time, students should review the course material to improve their understanding.
