The Trench and Excavation Safety course is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the hazards associated with trench and excavation work and the steps required to ensure a safe work environment. Understanding of powered industrial truck safety principles: The program covers the principles and practices of powered industrial truck safety in the workplace, including the importance of protecting workers and others from powered industrial truck-related hazards.
Knowledge of powered industrial truck safety regulations and standards: The program covers the latest OSHA regulations and industry best practices in powered industrial truck safety, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the field.
Ability to identify and assess powered industrial truck hazards: Upon completion of the program, you will have the skills to identify potential powered industrial truck hazards in the workplace and assess their level of risk.
Understanding of powered industrial truck control measures and procedures: The program covers various control measures and procedures for reducing or eliminating powered industrial truck hazards, including how to develop and implement effective powered industrial truck control programs.

Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.

Trench and Excavation Safety Planning: Developing trench and excavation safety plans, implementing safety procedures and protocols for trench and excavation work, managing emergency situations related to trench and excavation hazards.
Trench and Excavation Support Systems: Understanding different types of trench and excavation support systems (e.g. shoring, shielding), proper selection, use, and maintenance of trench and excavation support systems, understanding the limitations and capabilities of trench and excavation support systems.
Training and Education: Providing training for employees and contractors on how to safely manage trenches and excavations, promoting trench and excavation safety culture and awareness, encouraging active participation in trench and excavation safety management.

This course is designed to help you reach your goals at your own pace and on your schedule. Instructional contact time must be a minimum of 8 hours. Most students intend to complete their studies via online learning within 1 month.

All students must achieve a minimum 70% score to successfully pass the examination which shall be taken online through AISP assigned portal. After successful completion of the examination, students will get their results immediately on their registered emails. This is an open-book exam and students are permitted to use a separate browser window to review course content while taking the exam. If you do not pass the examination you may retake the examination. Students are allowed to take an exam three times within one month. During this time, students should review the course material to improve their understanding.
