It outlines the fundamental requirements of protecting employees in confined spaces. This course teaches the identification, assessment, and control of hazards within the parameters of permit-required confined spaced at the level of entry and exit. These are spaces that are not designed for continuous occupation, and controlled, and may have atmospheric or physical hazards. Each participant learns the key definitions, and confined space program roles. Authorized entrants, attendant, and entry supervisors and program are responsible for communication and safekeeping. The training teaches the setting of acceptable entry conditions and the procedures for continuous monitoring to exposure toxic gas, engulfment, oxygen deficiency, and atmospheric testing isolation procedures; blanking, blinding, and double block and bleed. The course teaches participants to develop and implement written space program the key elements entry permits, rescue planning, and emergency response coordination. Case studies elaborate the real-world application of lockout/tagout, ventilation control, and confined space entry. Pre-entry planning, hazard evaluation, and continuous supervision are key elements to ensure OSHA Compliance. This course helps understand the importance of these elements. Examination
Candidates can take this exam through an assigned portal from the American Institute of Safety Professionals. A passing score is 70% or higher, and exam results are provided right after by email to the address provided. The exam is open-book, allowing candidates to validate their answers. Any candidates who do not pass have 1 month after their exam to go through the training materials and can take the exam 3 additional times.
