- Introduction to Hazards Identification and Risk Management: Overview of the importance of hazards identification and risk management in maintaining a safe work environment, identification of common hazards and risks that exist in various industries and environments.
- Identifying and Assessing Hazards: Techniques for identifying and assessing hazards in the workplace, evaluation of the potential consequences of hazards.
- Risk Management Process: Understanding the risk management process including risk assessment, risk evaluation, and risk control, developing strategies to control hazards and minimize risks.
- Hazard Analysis Techniques: Overview of various hazard analysis techniques including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
- Risk Assessment Methods: Overview of various risk assessment methods including Qualitative and Quantitative risk assessment, identifying and evaluating the likelihood and consequences of hazards.
- Risk Control Measures: Implementing appropriate risk control measures including elimination, substitution, engineering controls, administrative controls and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Safety Procedures and Compliance: Compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies, safety audits and inspections, record-keeping and reporting requirements.
- Emergency Preparedness and Response: Identification and management of emergency situations, emergency response procedures and emergency response teams, first aid and emergency medical services.
- Safety Training and Communication: Importance of safety training for employees on hazards identification and risk management, communication of hazards identification and risk management policies and procedures, employee engagement and feedback.
