Course Overview
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the hazards and risks associated with confined spaces, including toxic atmospheres, oxygen deficiency, and physical hazards.
- Identify different types of confined spaces and recognize entry and work requirements according to regulatory standards.
- Apply safe entry procedures, including permit systems, hazard assessments, and isolation of energy sources.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection correctly in confined space environments.
- Operate gas detection, ventilation, and communication equipment effectively to ensure a safe confined space entry.
- Perform monitoring, continuous observation, and emergency response as an entrant or attendant during confined space operations.
- Follow rescue procedures and coordinate with emergency teams in case of confined space incidents.
- Document confined space entries, hazard assessments, and incidents in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Train and educate personnel on confined space hazards, safe practices, and emergency protocols.
- Integrate confined space safety practices into daily operations to ensure worker protection and regulatory compliance.
Mode of Delivery
Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.
