• Understanding of materials handling, storage, use and disposal hazards: The program covers the hazards associated with materials handling, storage, use and disposal, including the identification and assessment of potential hazards.
• Knowledge of materials handling, storage, use and disposal best practices: The program covers the latest best practices in materials handling, storage, use and disposal, including how to design and implement safe procedures to minimize the risk of injury to workers.
• Ability to identify and assess materials handling, storage, use and disposal hazards: Upon completion of the program, you will have the skills to identify and assess potential hazards in materials handling, storage, use and disposal, including manual handling hazards, chemical hazards, and fire hazards.
• Understanding of the role of materials handling, storage, use and disposal safety in injury prevention: The program covers the importance of materials handling, storage, use and disposal safety in injury prevention, including how to implement safe procedures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Knowledge of materials handling, storage, use and disposal safety program development and implementation: The program covers the development and implementation of materials handling, storage, use and disposal safety programs, including how to develop and implement materials handling, storage, use and disposal safety policies, procedures, and training programs.

Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.

Training should emphasize on the following contents;

• Introduction to materials handling, storage, use, and disposal safety, including the types of materials that are commonly used in the workplace and the hazards associated with handling and storage.
• Understanding the OSHA standards for materials handling, storage, use, and disposal, 29 CFR 1910 Subpart .
• Identifying the hazards associated with handling and storing materials, including falls, slips, trips, chemical spills, and fires.
• Proper selection, handling, and storage of materials, including the proper use of material handling equipment and the proper labeling and identification of materials.
• Understanding the proper use and disposal of hazardous materials, including chemicals, pesticides, and other dangerous substances.
• The importance of proper training and education on the handling, storage, use, and disposal of materials, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
• The importance of proper record keeping and documentation of materials handling and storage.
• The importance of regular inspections and maintenance of material handling equipment.
• The importance of emergency preparedness and response procedures for materials handling incidents.

This course is designed to help you reach your goals at your own pace and on your schedule. Instructional contact time must be a minimum of 8 hours. Most students intend to complete their studies via online learning within 1 month.

All students must achieve a minimum 70% score to successfully pass the examination which shall be taken online through AISP assigned portal. After successful completion of the examination, students will get their results immediately on their registered emails. This is an open-book exam and students are permitted to use a separate browser window to review course content while taking the exam. If you do not pass the examination you may retake the examination. Students are allowed to take an exam three times within one month. During this time, students should review the course material to improve their understanding.
