The Electrical Safety for Technicians & Supervisors course is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of electrical safety practices, regulations and guidelines. This course is essential for those who work with electrical equipment, machinery and systems, including electricians, electrical technicians, and electrical supervisors.
Objectives:
- To provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of electrical safety practices and procedures
- To identify electrical hazards and explain the dangers associated with electrical systems
- To teach participants about electrical regulations and standards, including OSHA regulations and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- To educate participants on the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the importance of electrical safety testing and inspection
- To demonstrate the proper lockout/tagout procedures and the steps involved in de-energizing electrical systems

- Understanding of electrical safety equipment and procedures: The program covers the various types of electrical safety equipment and procedures, including how to choose and use the appropriate equipment and procedures for each task.

Training sessions will be conducted through Microsoft Team Meetings in an online format, or through LMS or face-to-face delivery. Invitations for the meeting will be distributed one day before the commencement of the training program. Training is either delivered by an accredited training provider or an affiliate training center.

- Introduction to Occupational Safety and Health: This module will provide an overview of the principles and concepts of occupational safety and health, including the legal and regulatory framework, and the role of safety supervisors in promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

This course is designed to help you reach your goals at your own pace and on your schedule. Instructional contact time must be a minimum of 8 hours. Most students intend to complete their studies via online learning within 1 month.
All students must achieve a minimum 70% score to successfully pass the examination which shall be taken online through AISP assigned portal. After successful completion of the examination, students will get their results immediately on their registered emails. This is an open-book exam and students are permitted to use a separate browser window to review course content while taking the exam. If you do not pass the examination you may retake the examination. Students are allowed to take an exam three times within one month. During this time, students should review the course material to improve their understanding.
